About our living room
The living room is an extension of our coffee shop which offers additional seating. Enjoy cozy nooks, a heated floor, a welcoming fireplace, and our resident Catzen Cats, who may decide to join you. Grab your coffee and snacks, a book from the bookshelf, or a game from the game shelf, and settle in.
Some things to note:
You must be 15 years or older to be in the living room, except for any kid times that may be scheduled (see below for exceptions).
Reservations for the living room are required. Reservations are 45 minutes long. For parties of 4 or less, there is no fee for a living room reservation, but we do ask that you make a purchase in the coffee shop for each person entering. For parties of 5 or more, the fee to reserve is $5 per person with no additional purchase required at the coffee shop. Please make your reservation online and a payment link will be emailed to you.
The Catzen Cats live at Catzen. They have an extensive living quarters in the heated basement and their own entrance into the living room. They may or may not choose to come up on any given day.
Please don't pick up the Catzen Cats.

Living Room Reservations
Reservations are required in the living room for the comfort of the cats and the guests and can be made with the button below. You must be 15 years or older to be in the living room except for the following two exceptions:
Ages 0-9 are only allowed Saturday mornings between 7am-9am in 30 minute reservation blocks. Scroll down to see the information and reservation buttons for these times.
We also have two Tween Times (ages 10-14): Saturday mornings until 11:30 am, and Wednesday evenings starting at 7 pm. Tweens must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations for Tween Times can be made through our regular reservation button.
We offer low-sensory reservations every Wednesday; these reservation blocks are limited to 6 guests, and music and lights are turned down. Please reserve 9:15 or 2:30 for these sessions.

Cats & Cartoons
On Saturday mornings, join us for cartoons in the living room as we host kids under 15 years of age. Choose 7:00 am, 7:30 am, 8:00 am, or 8:30 am.
Some things to know about kid time:
The line at the counter can be long during this time, so we suggest you arrive 15 minutes prior to your reserved time to get your drink and food.
The cats are not always comfortable with small kids, so your child may not see any cats during their visit.
Please observe the following rules during kid time:
Do not chase or follow the cats. Let the cats come to you, and gentle pets only.
A flicking tail or flat "airplane" ears means "leave me alone."
Parents must closely supervise their children at all times.
Any rough or inappropriate behavior toward the cats will result in being asked to leave the living room immediately.

Waiver
Cats have teeth and claws! Catzen is a coffee shop with a separate seating area where patrons can mingle with our cats. Although our cats are loving and friendly , they are also...well, cats. By entering the living room, each and every Catzen Coffee patron understands and accepts the inherent risk in this activity, including but not limited to scratches or bites, and agrees to hold Catzen harmless from any liability or expenses that may arise should an incident occur.
Child Policy
- Human beings under 15 years of age are not allowed in the living room.
- There are two exceptions to this age limit:
- Cats & Cartoons Saturday mornings, ages 0-14 from 7am- 9 am.
- Saturdays during the 9:15 and 10:00 reservation block for Tweens
- Careful and respectful behavior toward our cats is required at all times. Please don't pick up the cats. The Catzen staff reserve the right to remove anyone from the Den for bad behavior, at the staff's discretion.
Statement of Respect toward our Staff and Customers
Each member of our staff deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. Disrespect, harassment, swearing, or any form of aggressive behavior toward a staff member or any other customer will not be tolerated. Catzen Coffee reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the living room or the Coffee Shop.
